Eiger TT is addictive, must have done 70 laps today, sitting on 1:04.286.
Could get a 1:04.0xx with some patience

Since no one will come right out and say how they are getting the GSX-R to 350pp, although we know it has to be worn out oil, here is an excerpt from a thread about oil changes and engine degradation that may help others get their GSX-R down to 350pp:

The information comes from THIS thread.

So, it appears that you have to get to the point where the oil light is on and then it starts the degrading process to -5%.

thanks GoSpeedRacer, thats exactly the info I have been trying to search for! but it doesn't explain this post from Lorenzo1201...

"@Turismo-lester: I've seen you GSX on your garage online. You are on 350 pp with not changed oil and "only" 1500 km How is it possible?"

I still think there must be a trick we're missing- c'mon, someone spill the beans!

If there was a secret I would happily share it with everyone.
All I did was b spec at indy for about 300 laps.
I bought all the parts for it and put them on for those races.
Don't think that would make the difference tho.

I started with a Gixxer that had 300 miles on it. I had Bob run the Indy 500, then the whole 24hr Le Mans. It's still at 355PP. :irked:

So Bob is back running Le Mans. :ouch:

Drifting was on the agenda for me tonight. I managed to get Bronze for both Drift trials.

My Bronze score was 10,008. I would have earned the "Dream Drifter" or whatever Trophy if I didn't have it before. I used the Ford Focus RS WRC because I figured it wasn't very good at taking tight turns. Two of my other PSN/SEN friends used this car in their Drift runs. Sadly, I'm the lowest-ranked of the PSN/SEN friends that tried the Focus RS WRC. I figured out that the real key in tackling this one is in how you take the final section. The series of switchbacks and such makes the final part a real challenge. Had this been a game like Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2, one whack of the wall would end your entire run in that section. None of my drifts in GT5 have ever been pretty, so I'll take the sort of leeway GT5 provides in drifting. I then used the Premium Toyota Celica GT-Four Rally Car. Sadly, I was unable to improve my score with the Celica GT-Four (Premium). The Top 6 at present all used the Celica GT-Four Premium car to go north of 21,000 points here.

Drifting a tuner car on the highways at night. Sounds like a dream for many in the sport compact culture. That's what I did as Old Reliable (my AEM S2000) was dusted off for another Drift Trial. As per usual, I enjoyed myself drifting out to a top score of 7191. The reason why I love the AEM S2000 is for how smooth and under control it is when sideways. I even pretended I was still playing "Shift 2 Unleashed" by doing a little countersteering and some throttle control in the corners. I still had just enough to get Bronze and narrowly miss out on Silver. As usual, the Top 10 are all TVR Cerbera Speed 12s. I fail to see how the hell you can take a mean bastard like the Cerbera Speed 12 and make it a controllable drift machine. I mean, "[TVR] Cerbera Speed 12" and "controllable" usually don't belong in the same sentence, yet these people are doing SOMETHING right in drifting these machines out of control. And if to rub it in a bit, the top-ranked drifter here has his/her Cerbera Speed 12 in matte pink.

Top Scores at this moment:
Eiger Nordwand K Trail (Reverse): 22,550
Clubman Stage Route 5 (Reverse): 25,127

Just managed to get my GSX-R down to 350pp.
Had to run b spec for 4000 miles.
I did no oil changes.
Hope this helps.

Could I lend this off you when your not using it? That would be great if possible, thanks.

👍

It's lame we have to do these things though, what happened to the leader boards like 5p? Pretty sure the gt5 box claims we'd have them.

I'm at 2000 ish miles atm and I'm not even interested in running kart space lol. I'll gift the car and also sock it away for the next 350pp tt  weeeeee

I've tried all ways to decrease pp on gsx:crazy: no solution for me. Following my tests:
1) new one (353pp) no oil change - run in b-spec for 500indy+500indy+500indy+1000 suzuka...result 357 pp:scared: then changed oil (363 pp) run 1000suzuka result...357 pp;
1) new one (353pp) change oil (359pp) run 1000suzuka..result 357pp:nervous:
in both cases, at the end, oil is black. I'm running in circle:drool:

I don't want to waste more time to find a solution...is a delirium.
If anyone can send it (gsx with 350pp) to me my psn id is lorenzo1201 and thank you in advance.
Anyway, thanks for all information above

Dont change the oil, it will just put the pp back up.
I had to run 4000 miles with no oil changes.

You are on my friends list. I put the gsx online everytime I go offline.

My eyes are bleeding.... but who needs 'em, I got a 38.494 :)
Is it wrong of me to hope for another tsunami? lol jk
Thanks again Guru (Gerchu)

Finally I got under 1:05 on Eiger. At the moment on 160 or something like that.
I am hoping it will be enough for top 250 but probably not:) bothers me that I still am 0,5 faster with ds3 than my DFGT.

I have tried all setups that you friendly people shared in this thread and I would like to say thanks and hopefully I can look forward to your tunes on the next TT.

Thank you:)

wow lester, great job. but a tsunami is not nice ;). you can make it without that.
go for it.

i also had a 38 yet, but a mm stoped it from being green time.
Flow.

Download and watch the replay of top scorer. I did it, and I'm dissapointed. Its like cheating, it totally ruins the drift competition. I had problems on SSR5 too, using zr-1 couldn't gold it, and with silvia s15 I made 9036 points :)

hey man, you make me very happy:dopey:
with your gsx and your tune I've improved more then one second: from place 380 to 38 (or near it)...what else;) I thank you again...👍

Another 12 hours of Bob and it's down to 349. :D

Now it's time to go break into the top 500.

EDIT: Lap 2 (first lap fully up to speed) I went from 8xx to 300. Holy crap that gixxer is fast.

All I need is another couple of thousandths to get into the 200s but of course I just keep getting slower the more laps I run. :dunce:

Okay I'm sure I'll sound like a moron, but I've gotta ask what's wrong with me.

For Eiger everyone at the top of the leader board is using the Mitsu Lancer Super Rally car. I have it, and have tried a couple of the highly respected and praised tunes that have been shared during this time trial.

I can't even come within a second of my time with the Focus WRC. I realize it's a much lower revving engine, and I am often "up on the chip" but if anyone could share a little advice on getting the most out of the Mitsu? I admit that I'm not a great driver and but I'm getting better and want to use these to learn all that I can.

Are you playing with a wheel or DS3?
My DS3 time was 1:05.8xx after about 40 laps
Then I switched to wheel and did about 30 laps and was down to 1:04.4xx

The Differance between DS3 and wheel with this car/track combo for me is massive.

What I would do: wherever I seem to be losing time to the fastest guy I would analyse the telemetry of his lap, have a look at how early they put the throttle on and how hard they press the brakes as they enter the corner which can be very important when you are trying to keep the car settled.

Tips for the TT: turn in quite late on the corner prior to the wooden bridge because if you turn to early as you are going downhill the evo will slide and lose speed and use as much of the mud as you can, PD have been quite lenient on this TT with regards to what is classed as an invalid lap.

I'm about 150th on the TT but I haven't done many laps on it so I could probably go a bit faster. Hope my post helped. ;)

52 Minutes ago I started the 9 Hour Tsukuba B-Spec Endurance with the GSX-R/4..Hopefully in 8 hours or so I'll have a nicely detuned car I can use on Kart Space..Hopefully.

So far my Bobs are 3 laps ahead so I might even win this thing.

Did you add the Engine tuning stage 3 and the Stage 3 turbo? That gained me a second or more on track.
I got my best time down to a 1:04.4 with a DS3, I have yet to try any tunes or a wheel.

Wait a second..What exactly does Stage 3 Engine Tuning do..? I'm only running a High RPM Turbo with my setup, no Engine Tuning..Should I Engine Tune?

With engine tuning, at what RPM do you get peak HP/Torque?
I can definitely use a second or more though I doubt I'll get it since that would put me ahead of #1, lol, but I'll take anything I can get.

I don't think you can gain much with that.

It gets you to peak torque and HP faster, resulting in better acceleration.
It helped me, others seem to be using it to.
I was sitting on a 1:05.9X with no turbo or engine tuning (I didn't notice that it could be added).
With a turbo I got 1:05.0XX.
With a turbo and Stage 3 Engine, 1:04.5 with a best of 1:04.4
I could match the acceleration of the #1 time so I think that's what all the top guys are using.

Using turbo stage 1 on my evo 👍 I tried them all but stage 1 seems better to me over the lap... to each their own I guess :)

Knocked down to 5th since I last looked! will have to work on that after work in the wee small hours ;)
