Not So New - TT & DT No. 30

Bring 'em out! That's what I did when I took on the two Time Trial challenges. Didn't bother tuning- just picked out the best cars in my stable. One of the cars I was proud to use was one of my 1000 Ticket cars- the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX. 1:11.883 was my time around Eiger Nordwand Short Track. Most of the better lap times were done with the 2003 Mitsubishi Super Rally car (or whatever it's called). I used the 1991 Mazda Eunos Roadster J-Limited (NA) for Kart Space 1. I'm really starting to get ticked off racing Kart Space because there are some zones where I attack the corners very aggressively. However, I get too far outside to where my time goes foul. On the very first attempt, all I needed to do was clear the final corner without contact to easily get Gold. Sadly, I tagged the outside wall, and my run goes foul (invalidated). When I decided to finally be a bit more defensive, 47.087 was my time. One of my online friends logged a 47.288 in... the 1942 Volkswagen Schimmwagen typ166! Hell, I almost wanted to take my VW Sambabus around Kart Space!

But this was a pretty cool Time Trial. I may or may not do the Drift Trials. I am still immensely inexperienced with the Eiger Nordwand K Trail Reverse track.

So anyone got a GSX-R/4 Concept '01 that can be limited to 350PP?

I tried and could only get as low as 357pp, and that was on a bome stock one I recently bought from the UCD. I'm guessing the only way you can manage this is if you have one that's overdue for an oil change.

I didn't bother to de-tune my 111R so I took gold on a spider duetto 66'
Loebb's citroen for the other TT
I really think Pd should outlaw power limiters and ballast in on-line events

I get what you mean regrding the use of power limiters, but I think the real answer would be for PD to be more imaginative when setting the restrictions so that it's not always the same cars that get used. To a certain extent I think they've managed that this week.

Maybe if they could set a maximum limit of say 20%, that might also make things a little more interesting.

I would say that would partly go to the driver, like my insistence on the kart track TT to use K-Cars (i-MiEV, Cappuccino, Kei Works), but at most a Storia X4, all of which i know and accept won't be in the league of the GSX-R/4 or the Elise 111R

I just let my GSX-R4 enter an endurance with my Bob on b-spec and see if I can tune it to 350pp.
Let you know if it works and if it does I will be happy to share it. I am not going to try more on that tt since I dont find the fun in it but it would be nice with someone from the forum at the top:)
Maybe I will try with odd cars to see wich I can gold with. Liked that someone took gold in schwimmelwagon and Beetle-66. The Schwimmel is one of my favouritecars and I golded last seasonal with it on 350 pp and comfort soft.

Golded both new TTs first time out. The rally one with a '99 Focus (top 12,000!) and the Kart one with a '67 Skyline GT-B (top 14,000!).
Not a fan of going for same old predictable cars

Lancia Stratos? I got mine in the UCD. if you need one add me and I'll be able to get one to ya tomorrow night. Just put in the friend request "wanted lancia from gtplanet" so I know what's up.

Thanks but I think it is the Lancer Evolution Super Rally car. Or does anyone have a better car. I played around with the Celica a bit yesterday and it worked pretty good but I just don't think I good get quite as much speed out of it as the Lancer Evo.

Has anyone tried a honda crz TC on kart space? because I dont have that car pack. I've tried the garaiya, s800 race car, honda beat, lutecia clio, daihatsu ofc, mx5, vx220 turbo and the isuzu bellett on kart space but none of them can match the elise nevermind a 350PP GSXR.

I used the 2003 Subie WRX on Eiger at first, got down into the low 1:07's. Switched to the Evo and in two laps dipped into the 1:06's, im sure I can get down into the mid
1:05's if I can string it all together. Not worried about the kart track, i'll probably just gold that one and leave it be.

You need to detune a stock version otherwise you'll struggle to get it under the PP, that's why he's the only GSXR user up there because everyone else has tuned theirs and they are hard to find. If you get hold of a 350 PP one can I have a go? :)

I'll see what I can do, I bought one from the UCD a while ago...gonna detune and see if it goes to 350pp. :)

Celica GTFour for the EIger one - Gold first clean run... Did rally cars have to stay inside the white lines all of a sudden!

The Kart track (Very Live For Speed arena) I used a 65 Alfa GTA. pretty easy indeed considering I never saw the track before... That said my golds are way off the pace of the acid for blood hotlappers.

I have 3, 0/0/0 GSXR-4's.. None can get to 350pp.. They even have different (stock) HP, still not 350pp.. I'm thinking maybe if it's after the HP loss, 350pp would be possible..

My two cents, Thanks..:)

im going to flick threw the licences a few times . you never know a gsx might pop up in the shop. i know doing this refrehes your used car dealership. just go threw four of them and they should all be new cars.well kind of new.

Anybody using the lotus elise 111r? If so whats your best time and whats your set up? What is it best to do limit power or add weight? My best time is currently 43.4 seconds good enough for 2700th. Responses would be greatly appreciated.

I'm no expert at tuning but this setup has me about 20th, I dont have any parts which increase power installed and no spoiler because I think it is a waste of PP on this track because it consists of low speed corners.

ballast amount: 118
ballast position: -31
power level: 50%
1st gear: 4.761
2nd gear: 3.359
3rd gear: 2.513
4th gear: 1.968
5th gear: 1.608
6th gear: 1.372
final gear: 6.000
max speed: 112 mph (about 180 kmh)
front height: -22
rear height: -25
spring rate: 6 on both
front dampers: 6 on both
rear dampers: 4 on both
anti roll bars: 2
front camber: 1
rear camber: 0.5
default toe angle
front brake: 6
rear brake: 10

Cheers thats very useful, will definitely try that out tomorow, might have to buy a new 111r because I stupidly did oil change and now I can't get the correct PP, anyway i'll psn message you how I get on and I might even race your ghost!

Sorry forgot to mention what lsd settings are you using I used 5,5,5 but could do with some adjusting cause I'm no tuner!

I didnt do anything to the LSD, I'd rather try and smoothen my driving than overcomplicate things with the LSD. Good luck anyway.

Yeah I did about 60 laps in total with different settings, don't have a clue where the to find 4 seconds though. Did you use any assists? What time did you manage in the end?

Well I'm on a 40.0xx I still have time to come. I use ABS 1, everything else off and a joypad. Just try and avoid going half throttle through the corners, often the fastest way around a corner is a slightly slower than what feels natural wide entry to get the fastest possible exit and try to be smooth aswell so that the car is settled, turn 3 requires quite a slow smooth entry otherwise it will want to slide and on the curve you should have the car at about 40/41 mph hugging the inside of the track, the banking of it means that this is faster than braking late to get drive on the exit.

Sitting on a 1:05.666 on Eiger..Almost had a 1:05.1XX but I blew it at the last corner (Wipe out). So mad at myself, ugh.

That's for the tips! I've been searching for the perfect lines, haven't quite nailed them all yet.

I have a Gixxer with 0 miles, but can't get it to 350pp ...maybe a used one w/o oil change? I dunno :)

I've been focusing on the kart space TT atm, currently 24th with a 40.069 ... I managed a 39.90x but whilst the time was red. :grumpy:

@PeasantSlayer; going to try your settings...see if it helps. 👍

No line ever driven has been perfect, its about getting as close to it as you can. If you think a certain way of going around a corner is perfect then you wont go much faster.

^^this. I have a Gixxer as well, 0 miles, but can't get it to 350pp ...maybe a used one w/o oil change? I dunno :)

^^the settings didn't help much lol

It's the tranny settings that I'm not used to, I've been using the 6 speed close-ratio tranns. and I like the way I only have to keep it in 2nd gear for most corners.

That and I am also using a wheel. But hopefully your settings will help someone with a controller. :)

I'm using auto so I dont have to worry about the gears too much, unless you are good with a manual you will probably be slower than an auto, I use manual when I'm in a 2J because it only has 3 gears. I have a steering wheel but I prefer using my ds3. It would be nice to see what setup those japanese guys at the top have.

When I did this track for the liscense in the C8 I had a hella hard time. So I switched to manual. Even after getting used to using manual again I didn't improve. But when I switched back to auto I golded the event in 2 tries. I was more aware of my gear without the loss of concentration needed to shift with a DS3.
