Hey Oni,
I was just wondering what Plan B is with the issues we are currently having with the PSN if it is not back online before Round 3 tomorrow? Will we just push all the races back an additional week or perhaps (if it suit all drivers) move it to Wednesday since we no longer have the GT300 Championship then?

It would appear more and more like the issue is not going to be resolved as after reading all the statements from PS Officials they seem unaware of exactly what has been (and has not been) hacked. Hence, shutting down PSN servers to protect consumer privacy RE: credit card details etc...

I do hope the issue is fixed ASAP as I have been itching to test all week but seems useless with the very average physics model we get in offline mode... 👎

I agree about the push back a week, not so much the wednesday race as I will definatly not be able to make a single race in that case. I was also wandering what Plan B would be.

Sorry, I was intending to mean just push this one to Wednesday as a one off... Sorry, my bad. I can see how that was mis-interpreted...

Yes well... That is the other consideration. I, like you would probably prefer to have all races simply pushed back a week and all remain on Monday still, that would be my Plan B suggestion...

Well due to the recent problems with PSN with no time frame of when PSN will be rebuilt due to the hackers breaking the server the Round 3 race is moved to next week. Ill update the original post to reflect the new dates.

This will also give time for people to get in some practice once PSN is back up using the online physics rather then the easy mode offline engine.

I would have thought the PSN servers would all go back online simultaneously so I had figured that any information regarding PSN on the US servers was essentially relevant to us! Mid next week...

Sounds like Sony are pulling a PD on us. "Oh no it will be on late next week. No actually, 2 weeks. Nope, seconds thoughts, give it a month or 2."

I dont mind the servers being down so much, it when they go and move the day they come back online further down the track.

I'm with you mate. As far as i am concerned they can take all the time they need. I'd rather the servers come back up with better security then have the attack happen again a few days later.

I have a back log of games i'm finally completing so it's sorta helped me out.

If your all interested in having a little challenge while we waiting ill set up a time trial challenge to whoever is interested.

I want to see these people caught and put on the news! so if i see them i can run them down in my car , had alot of driving practice on tarmac , grass , rain , snow and even sand!!

Hrmm might be up for the challenge but A-spec kinda bores me its not as fun as the online atmosphere / challenge

haha.. mate if they get put on the news i think you running them over would be the least of their troubles. There's at least 50 million PS3 users that wouldn't be happy with them and i'm sure the COD crowd is something you don't want to mess with.

Agree ive only touched the enduros on gt5, level 36 now for bspec.

Hay Oni, the time trial thing sounds good to me, I've just been doing some practice in the RUF CTR Yellow Bird 87 with my new wheel because I think this car is good practice for when we get back online with its rear engine and crazy handling.

Yeah not a bad idea. The only thing is im looking for something a bit different and exotic as we have been testing the S15RMs for quite a long time now since PSN has gone down.

Should, all things being equal and going to plan, come back on tomorrow from the latest news mate. So in theory TM race should be a week from today.
Don't hold your breath though, it would not be the first time we have had dates pushed back...

[RANT]Such poor customer relations is a very bad piece of publicity for Sony 👎 but if they expect us to be content waiting with no word or new information from them, then they might get a surprise when a lot of people switch to alternative gaming devices...
Can't say I would be upset for them, such 🤬 customer relations, they probably deserve to lose every cent of profits (and then some) that they inevitably will as a result of this!...

I'd been meaning to update my old inaccessible email address linked to my PSN account , but didn't before the shutdown. Now I've had to sort it out with customer support and I have to wait another 1 - 3 days before I can change my password and log in.

Oni if you need me as a backup on Monday , I should be all sorted by then.

Ah that sucks mate. I am lucky i backed up my GT5 save to the online storage. It's a bit old since it was before the outage but i lost all stuff on my GTP_Oni account which ill have to somehow get going again.

Damn mate.. looks like our team might be off the pace for awhile.. Im about 2-2.5 seconds off my wheel pace with a controller so don't expect much sorry mate.

Hope you heal up quickly to mate. Well as you know most high end racers are never at 100% when racing.. hehe.. there always some sorta damage they are racing with.
