There are still 5 spots available for the race in Division 2 since very few submitted qualifying times.

You can take one if you want. Read post 1 and post 2 carefully.

nah, not tomorrow, im not ready yet. but i want to know for the next one, which i think is Laguna Seca (not sure) do i need to put the lap time of the track of the race that im qualifying for? So what track do i do for replay time.

You don't have to post it now. You can only submit a replay once. Deadline is every Wednesday midnight PST.

Read the Rules and Regulations carefully on Post 2 :)

...vote for Seca!* :dopey:

Hey there Masi,

Been 2 days since I last visited this thread, and wow, interest for the Series certainly have picked up, and sounds like racers are pumped for racing. Good stuff:tup:

Unfortunately, I have to withdraw from today's race. Due to circumstances, I will not be anywhere near my PS3 when race starts. And seeing that there are a couple of Provisional drivers waiting in the wings, thought I'd let you know as soon as possible so you have plenty time to contact one of them to grid up in my spot. Apologies for the late-ish notice though.

All the best & good luck GTPeers, happy racing at Monaco.

Look forward to video of replay (good job with your iPhone vid btw, nice quality).

Cheers
Ezza75

I dont think it would be fair to use old super GTs they had less weight restrictions. and look a all lot worse (standards)

I see there are two raybrigs in my division (damn I was shooting for the second division)
If you wish I can get the tanaka to race with or even use my Epson...

In how many hours is the race - Im at work right now and would like to know if I need to leave early

they are the same weight - or within 50-100kg. so i don't think there is any question about "fair". They are also less powerful than the newer jgtc.

i just find it a shame that the only valid reason anyone can mention is for pictures in replays which really has no consequence in the actual race.

there not less powerfull - I got a GT R (2003 motul nismo skyline) and it has 510 HP and 1080 kg

the Epson for example has 480 HP and 1150 Kg

after 2005 or 2006 they made some sort of restrition that didnt allow cars to go as fast in turns as they did before (I think it has to do with the flat bottom of the car) if you read the cars description you will see what Im talking about.

pratical example - the new Epson is a lvl 19 car - the old supra is a lvl 21 car

some of the older cars are definitly faster.

but if it is allowed I have a few myself and will go with them too

the loctite is 473hp and 1100kg
minimal difference, and less powerfull than both of the cars mentioned.
and as for cornering, suspension settings can completely change how any car handles corners.
again, the only valid reason is for marketting - its a shame really

It's the reason why i'm in GT300. The loctite is my car, and i'm sure there are other people who feel the same way about another car. I'm happy with my subaru cusco dunlop tho, I think I might even out race some of the GT500's tonight.

You will probably out race me that almost for sure but thats another matter all together

How did you get that Cusco around Monaco so quick?? If feels like it lacks a bit of power on straights....

Hello, is it still possible to join?

I would like to join gt500 with my Xanavi Nismo Gt-r '03 380kw(510 hp) / 1080 kg.

Read first post! It states all the rules and what cars you can use as well.👍

Mesi_23: I'm going to change car from Raybring NSX to XANAVI NISMO Z, just to let you know.

And I would like to ask (because it's been discutions about it) what tyres we are able to use during the race?

Does that mean I will be the only one with the raybrig in that division?

taken from the super GT official site to ilustrate whats the main diference between the new and the old super GT.

2009 rules and regulations

◊Flat bottom
Flat bottom must be installed across the total width of the car seen from its underneath without tire wheel housing and outer mirrors. A solid body that is rigid, flat and impervious plane, which covers the lower surface of the car between 350mm forward of the center of the front wheel and the center of the rear wheel (350mm behind the center of the rear wheel for GT300) must be secured. Flat bottom must not have an aerodynamic effect and no air stream may pass between the floor of cockpit and the flat bottom.
[GT500] Minimum width of the flat bottom is 1,000mm

this is a new rule and the main diference why some older models are faster in the curves

If you want to drive a NISMO GT-R, there is a model from '08 in the dealership if you are intrested..

Yeah, i know, but now i'm fine with the Z 06, just bought it.

But, sadly, I can't race tonight(10 oclock in germany), because I'm not at home.

...And another thing from the super GT official site rules

Prohibited systems
Anti-lock braking system. Traction control system. Semi-automatic or automatic gearbox. Power actuated clutch. Electronically or automatically adjusted final drive differential system. Electronically or automatically adjusted shock absorber, suspension or ride height adjustment. Four-wheel steering. Moveable ballast. Electronic control systems with closed-loop circuit other than engine. Gear change assist systems (the systems which make gear changes easier by a temporal control of propulsion system when a driver changes his car's gear) *(applies to GT300 only). Devices that allow a driver to adjust shock absorber and suspension springs from the driver's seat when the car is in motion. Telemetry. Throttle control system of which method is not a direct mechanical linkage between throttle pedal and engine (excluding speed-limiter to control speed within designated pit lane speed limit). Active suspension.

So i think it would be a all lot more fun if we could race with soft tyres but no TCS and ABS allowed

Only the cars posted in the first post are allowed! No JGTC cars can be used (even the premium Castrol Supra)!

There's a Loctite in those pics - does that mean i can use my loctite and enter in the GT500 ?

No. The pictures came from a practice session that included public drivers.

fair enough, but that would only really apply in mid-high speed cornering (like the tunnel in Monaco). corners under 100km/h dont really get too much downforce help from aerodynamics

im biased - that's all. my favourite car in all GT's has always been the loctite :P

Love all the JGTC cars. Maybe we could have a one-off exibition race using them :) kind of like an All-Star race during mid-season or something.

Im not against it in any way - one of my favorite cars is the 2003 gtr I mencioned before and the tanaka from the same year (or the year after) I was just trying to explain what I learned reading the cars info in the dealership in GT5 (and confirmed in the super GT official site). If it was possible I would use one of those two in the championship also
